NZ Diploma in Web Development and Design (International Students)

International students are welcome and come from all over the world to Vision College. Vision College is a division of ATC New Zealand which was formed in 1984. It offers a unique Christian-based environment for study. Christian values of care, honour and respect are part of our culture and are all designed to help learners excel. People of all religions and cultures are most welcome to study at Vision College.

This programme teaches students how to develop great websites in just one year. It is designed for those wishing to start their own web design business, wanting to work within an established organisation or up-skill their level of understanding of web design. It will give students the development and design skills they need to make their mark in this exciting industry. It takes them from determining client needs to choosing a CMS, utilizing databases, designing the user experience, and configuring a website.

The programme focuses on the languages used behind most websites today; PHP, SQL and Javascript, developed within a responsive framework, which can render to all devices. Everything is taught with a hands-on approach, where the final project requires students to design a fully functional website that integrates a database for collecting and outputting information, with front-end and back-end capabilities. This includes a user to log in and out with different access rights per user and have all forms validated for errors.

This programme requires all students to complete 20 hours a week face to face.

From here, graduates can gain employment, or move into Year 2 of our NZ Diploma in Software Development (Level 6). No University Entrance is required to enter this programme.
