Study full-time for a year through a church internship, or part-time over three years. Both options include block courses, where you will receive quality teaching from our amazing lecturers, giving you in-depth biblical and theological understanding.
Absolutely. All of our qualifications are accredited and approved through the New Zealand Qualification Authority (NZQA) and are internationally recognised.
Broadly, if you’re a New Zealander who finished school in 2017, 2018 or if you will finish school during 2019, you qualify for a year of fees-free provider-based tertiary education in 2019.
If you’re not a recent school leaver, and you’ve done less than half a year of tertiary education or training (whether in New Zealand or in any other country), you may also qualify.

The Level 5 Diploma in Christian Studies gives you teaching in leadership, biblical interpretation and communication, theology, and in the contemporary social context (the ministry environment). Supervised and mentored practical ministry experience in your own church allows you to put what you learn into practice. We expect that a student who has gained the level 5 Diploma will be able to lead a ministry area within a church, and be positioned to keep developing towards leadership of a church or ministry.
We have had many students successfully complete the Diploma who have picked up studies after a break from school or other formal study. The keys to success are a positive attitude and a commitment to complete the course.
