Highlights

The Diploma in Performance Music Level 6 is a one year, full-time music qualification that further develops students in their chosen stream (Instrument, Voice or Song writing), with continued one-on-one tuition. Students are given opportunities to perform at various events, including the annual tour to schools and Showcase. The course is unique because it is taught within a Christian environment.

About This Course

By this stage of the study, students will have developed a high level of skill with continued one-on-one tuition. This, along with the Diploma in Contemporary Music, is a pre-requisite for the Bachelor of Music.

Students will study stimulating music subjects that require critical thinking, verbal and written communication as well as showcasing their talent and developing confidence and professionalism, through a variety of individual and group performances. They will learn about music education and the business of teaching; develop production and engineering skills for recording, composing and arranging techniques, and further develop shared musical experiences through improvisation and ensemble classes.  Students also complete a theology paper and enjoy weekly worship times with other students.
