Bachelor of Music (CCM)

Enrol in the Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Christian Music) and study the type of music you love - Rock, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Classical... The degree is based in a dynamic Christian atmosphere, helping you to grow in your faith while taking your musical skills to an advanced level.


The Vision College Bachelor of Music (Contemporary Christian Music) combines performance and academic study. Choose an elective in voice, instrument or songwriting, in which you will receive highly advanced one-on-one tuition. You will also develop research and academic skills.

Diploma Performance Music Image

This degree is unique because it focuses on the special context of modern Christian music, including worship music. You will also complete a theology paper and enjoy weekly worship times together with other Vision College students.


Our graduates enjoy successful music-related careers in performance, education, church leadership, music management and music production. Some have furthered their study with the Post Graduate Diploma in Education, Masters Degree in Music Therapy, Masters Degree in Music.

You will study modern styles of music, work in a band and have the option to learn music production, an excellent platform for a music career in either the workplace or ministry. It is also recognised by universities for further study in music and related fields such as education. Our graduates have become secondary school teachers, session musicians, church music directors, professional musicians and full-time music tutors.


The theology strand continues on from the Diploma in Contemporary Music, producing graduates with an informed and well developed biblical understanding of music and ministry. Students develop their musical knowledge and skills to a highly advanced level and are equipped for a career or ministry of their choosing. They will also develop research and academic skills enabling them to become lifelong learners who continue to grow and achieve.

You must:

 - Be a minimum age of 17  years old* and have four years secondary education (NCEA 2) or be a mature student aged over 20
 - Be interviewed and auditioned
 - Students wishing to enrol will need to be at Grade 3 theory level, either ABRSM or Trinity.
 - International students for whom English is a second language must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individual band lower than 5.5, or a recognised equivalent test.
 - Domestic applicants whose first language is not English will be interviewed to assess their level of English competency and may be required to complete a placement indicator test.
 - *International students must be at least 18 years old.
